Enforcement of Non-Registered Swimmer Violations

Starting immediately, in accordance to HISI P&P Section 5.02 NON-REGISTERED SWIMMERS, a $100 fine will be assessed to the athlete’s club or the club entering the non-registered athlete.  The fine will be assessed for each athlete identified by the Meet RECON report and verified on SWIMS as non-registered.  Non-registered athletes entered in meets are assumed to be training with the team they are attached to and have been training in violation of USA Swimming’s mandatory requirements.  It is the responsibility of the club and athlete to ensure USA Swimming membership is current.

This is a critical issue as allowing a non-registered swimmer to practice with the team cancels the USAS insurance coverage for that practice, as well violating USAS rules and regulations.
