The new USA Swimming technical rule amendments have been issued. See the Rules and Policies page on the USA Swimming website. These new rules are effective immediately (May 7, 2026). USA Swimming Rules and Policies Quick summary: 1) Counting and ringing bells for 400 meter and longer freestyle events 2) Swimmers may be submerged while finishing the butterfly and freestyle 3) Therapeutic elastic tape is no longer prohibited

The pool events at the Oceania Swimming Championship 2026 begin tomorrow! Oceania is a regional swimming championship organized by FINA (the worldwide governing body for the sport of swimming) and Hawai'i is an affiliate member of Oceania. In total there will be 18 nations/affiliate members comepting. Team Hawai'i is sending 14 members to the meet which is being held in Suva, Fiji.
